A BIT ABOUT ME

I am a predominantly self-taught artist and printmaker, originally from Wales but currently based in South East London. Although I also sell giclee prints of my original coloured pencil drawings, my artwork mainly uses a silkscreen whether it’s making unique monoprints, limited edition screenprints or collages with screenprinted papers.

Every part of the printing process is done by hand to keep all the characteristics I love in an original handmade piece, but created in a limited edition. I love to experiment with layering in my screenprints to find unique textures and registering my layers by eye to benefit from the quirks of not getting it spot on. My screenprints aren’t perfect, but that’s ok.. neither am I! When it comes to using colour I just can’t help myself, I LOVE bright and bold. I mix the colours and change my mind as I go, so what the end result will be is often a bit of a mystery.

I print at an artist-run studio in Peckham called Sonsoles Print Studio and source all of my supplies from local businesses from inks and papers to all my eco-friendly plastic-free packaging.
